Building Manager – Rare Opportunity!

Reporting to fantastic directors and operations manager a rare opportunity has arisen to manage two high quality residential & retail buildings on the outskirts of the CBD and provide a client centric approach to owner/occupiers, body corporate managers and committee members.

If you are a well presented, confident and experienced Building Manager who has the ability to apply their high level communication and negotiating skills to a new role then look no further. While initially a 12 month fixed maternity contract there will be opportunities to stay on board with this rapidly expanding company for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Coordinate and supervise general & emergency maintenance, scheduling, suppliers and contractors
  • Assist Operations Manager and HR departments as necessary to improve structures & procedures in addition to training and managing staff
  • Monitor and ensure requisite standard amongst all common areas
  • Regularly liaise with members, committee and attend Body Corporate meetings
  • Supervise and train assistant building manager and property management staff
  • Manage buildings and Body Corporate accounts and reconciliations
  • Comply with and enforce by-laws for all residents
  • Manage all strata related building issues and complex cases
  • Supplier/service provider engagements
  • Assist with general office duties
  • Attend meetings with external building stakeholders

The Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of relevant strata title legislation & contracts
  • High level communication & negotiation skills
  • Property Management skills required to fill in during absences
  • Ability to lead from the front
  • A strong sense of accountability
  • Minimum 24 months experience in building management
  • Current Agents Rep or Real Estate License (a must)
  • Clean and current QLD driver’s license (a must)
  • Flexibility to work on call/emergency phone roster as required
